A co-worker of my brought up this particular diet program around Valentines day 2009. My defenses were up, because I believed i’ve heard it all before, when it comes to “special” diets. The big tagline was “lose 9 lbs in 11 days”. My mind couldn’t help but google and analyze if this was really possible. In a nutshell what I found about Fatloss 4 Idiots is…
It’s a straight forward plan that doesn’t require calorie counting so it’s easy to follow. It also sets up 11 days worth of meals so you can grocery shop for what you need to manifest results. Delving deeper into the frameworks of this diet, I began to see why this was actually working for many people and getting positive reviews.
Setting a clear and achievable path to the desired outcome, and aligning your intentions of weightloss into a focused plan of action is the key to success. The mindset, and conviction to change combined with a sound realistic game plan is half the battle won. In fact, as I type right now, I am harnessing my confidence and my belief that there won’t be anybody or anything stopping me from achieving my health goals. The only one that can stop me is myself, and my addiction to complacency and or excuses.
I’ll also note, this diet isn’t a low-fat or low-carb plan, but somewhere in the middle. Meaning that while you follow the fat loss for idiots diet, you won’t be starving yourself of necessary nutrients for the sake of desperately losing pounds. I’ve always been akin to balance in my life, so Atkins is out of the question. Flexibility is another aspect I value in my long term diet. So after the 11 day cycle. The strategy is that in those 11 days, your body will have adjusted and almost be “re-programed” into more empowering eating habits, and flushing out the “fatty” and unhealthy patterns that have lead to the current situation in the first place.
After the 11 days, it’s up to you to reflect on how much more weight you want to lose. From what I know, losing 9 lbs every 11 days is not remotely ideal as a long term nutrition plan. And I also realize that the level of discipline to stay within the plan is not realistic for the average person. Yet knowing there is a realistic, proven strategy to burn fat in a short amount of time…is a nice thing to have in your back pocket.
So I welcome you to take everything I have to offer, in documenting my next 11 days, in putting my experience out there for people to see. I hope it brings some real insights and maybe inspire a few people along the way. That is my challenge
